El Regreso Del Deportivo – S5 E2 – Very Average

Welcome back to the mid season blog of season 5, as we check in on our progress so far this season, as the title may suggest, im not that happy!

Youth Intake Preveiw

Ahhh the old classic golden generation, we get this every year i feel like, and i am still waiting for our golden generation!! If these want it claims to be then we have an excellent intake on our hands mainly because of the positions that are A rated, full back is an area I’ve struggled to buy in and DM could be very important if I change the tactics and who doesn’t love strikers.

Toni Niemi

No January business for me this season as fund were limited and the right player didnt present themselves during the window, so we have a section dedicated to young Toni

Toni has only gone and won world U21 footballer of the year and European Golden boy!! I mean as you can see, he deserves it with them stats tbh, but i had no idea what we were signing when i brought him in, so this news article’s prompted me to tie him down on a long term contract with a minimum release clause of £92mil!!

Copa Del Rey

So as things stand we are in the quarter finals, which is the furthest the club has been since i have been in charge. Its nice to have a cup run but I hope this doesn’t cause us any issues in the league.

La Liga

Now the title of the blog makes sense, have you seen a more average set of results! Of course the classic run of games against the best teams that i just cant avoid every season!!

We started bright last season, although not as bright, then had our classic run of not being able to win before steadying the ship slighty.

So that leaves us in 15th place, we have a nice buffer to the drop zone, so I’m not concerned by relegation this season, so we are looking up which is a positive, and its quite close up to 11th so still plenty to play for the rest of this season.

Youth Player Promotion

Juan has played a decent amount of games, 9 in total across all competetions, and has been solid overall, nothing impressive, but it is diffcult to impress in the role that he plays in the team. But a solid start to first team football for the young man, lets see what the rest of the season holds for him.

Thank you for stopping by in the mid season blog for season 5, i hoped you enjoyed and i will see you all next time!
